Remember Flappy Bird? The game phenomenon took the world by storm, frustrated gamers, and then vanished for a little while when the developer became overwhelmed. It's the game that spawned hundreds of clones, and it has become such a part of the zeitgeist that it has even found its way into Android 5.0 Lollipop as an Easter egg. Hidden surprises have long been a feature of lots of software titles, including Android, and the Flappy Bird game concealed in Lollipop has been given an Android twist.
Accessing Android 5.0's patience-testing game is pretty simple. Head to Settings and tap About Phone. Tap and hold on the Lollipop logo and the game will start. Rather than the Nintendo-inspired pipes, you now have to avoid – of course – a series of lollipops. And gone is the little bird that cause so much anger, replaced with an Android logo.
The game can be found in the developer preview of Lollipop, but it's likely it will also be found in the final version.
