HTC One M9 prices leak - it's not going to be cheap

HTC's One M9 is now official after an MWC 2015 unveiling, and it's one of the most beautiful smartphones ever.
The phone will be launching around the world at the end of March but HTC has yet to share any official pricing details yet with the networks keeping schtum too.
Luckily we've been contacted by an anonymous tipster, claiming to have knowledge of the forthcoming costs, who revealed the prices of the HTC One M9 on EE.

The cheapest contract comes in at £36.99 a month (for 24 months) with an upfront cost of £119.99 offering 1000 minutes a month, unlimited texts and 1GB of data.

It ain't cheap

The cheapest contract on the double speed EE Extra service offers 2GB of data with an upfront cost of £119.99 and a monthly cost of £38.49.
Last year EE offered a 24 month contract for the HTC One M8 at £37.99 a month with an upfront cost of £19.99 with 2GB of data every month.
This year has seen a big price jump with an extra £100 on top of the upfront cost - is the upgraded processor and much-improved manufacturing process really worth that?
The gold version of the HTC One M9 is also an exclusive to EE in the UK.
Sadly there's no details on the handset SIM-free on any other networks but it's a good indication of how much it'll cost across the board.
